About
How the deck came to be…
In a way we have Covid to thank for Integration Oracle. I have been training psychedelic therapists and treating clients for many years, but Covid took much of the wind out of my sails. Only the bravest of souls contacted me for dyad treatments during the pandemic, and bringing groups together of 10 or 12 people for a training retreat were pretty much out of the question during most of 2020. Needless to say, I had a lot of time on my hands. I have always enjoyed working with Oracle cards before and after treatments and have been delighted how meaningful they can become when a person is open to receive their guidance. I typically spend as much time as my clients and students need post treatment to make sure their path to integration is clear.
Somehow or other when I had a lot of time on my hands the concept of an integration card deck popped into my mind. I immediately started writing down some of the key messages I wanted the cards to convey until I got to around 30 or so ideas. As luck would have it, I managed to find retreat centres who would host us and enough brave souls to come to our retreats so my time was diverted to training again. The idea sat idle for a couple years until one day when I was talking with Kai, a Phoenix alumni, while she was in New Zealand with her family. She had been experimenting with Midjourney, a powerful AI creative tool and had been sending me incredible images she had generated with it. She was looking for a way to use these images as tools for personal growth and the idea of the Oracle deck sprang at once into my head. It didn’t take much explaining or convincing to get her on board. That was March 2023 and it’s amazing to see what we have jointly created. It’s gone beyond my wildest dreams!
Kai Hamilton – Artist
I am a soul, artist, mother, spiritual seeker and holder of the healing space for transformational journeys and I live in Quebec, Canada.
The birth of my son in 2014 launched me onto my healing path when I became aware that I wasn’t living my authentic life. As a full time mother, my son was a constant mirror and I saw I was carrying old wounds that were impacting those I loved. With the support of loved ones and mentors, I left my career of freelance science writing and turned to art and sculpture as a means of personal exploration. Motherhood, art and medicine work have all opened my heart and helped me to see beauty in the world. I am blessed to be able to hold space for others as they walk their healing path. I believe we can grow with each other through the sharing of our deepest life experiences and the joy and the pain that we all live with. Art continues to be a powerful tool of expression as my spiritual awakening unfolds.
Creating images with MidJourney AI has been a gift. Initially with curiosity, I set out to explore the collective consciousness, curious about what AI thought love or poetry was. From there, I realized it was a powerful way to tap into our innermost feelings and experiences. Our hearts and minds resonate with these images because they are a product of us. I hope my work resonates with you and your inner healer and helps you on your own healing journey and your return to authenticity.
Bradley Foster – Concept, Author
I am two spirit having discovered this through my psychedelic sessions. I have a background in history and education and worked as a psychotherapist and a coach with a practice focused on leadership, and creativity. I trained in psychotherapy at the Gestalt Institute in Toronto and have a BA from McGill/Columbia University and an MA from the University of Toronto. In addition I have many mentors who have blazed trails in many disciplines. I founded the Toronto Psychedelic Society in 2016 and nurtured many others across Canada; organised psychedelic conferences, webinars, and meetings for the community. After using psychedelics as a teenager, I put it away until 2010 when I rediscovered it and tried MDMA for the first time. I have been actively doing my own psychedelic-assisted inner work since then. I have also personally overseen the treatment of over 500 clients and trained over 200 therapists through Phoenix Academy which embodies and exemplifies our philosophy of learning best practices in an ethical framework. I believe psychedelic therapy can heal our deepest wounds when done with gentleness, safety, awareness, and intention. One of my favourite mantras is Healing doesn’t have to be painful!
My training website is https://phoenixacademy.ca. I have written several highly regarded online courses for Psychedelic Therapy level 1 and 2, The Art of Formulations, Stacking psychedelics,
and Starting your own Successful Psychedelic Therapy Practice. I still maintain a private practice and am winding down my training and seek to hand it off to others.
